Here at Iris Street Bakery, we place your wedding cake vision front and center since we know how special your wedding day is to you. We work with a limited number of clients each year so that we are able to give all of our designs the attention they deserve. We strive to create cakes that are gorgeous on the outside and overflowing with of beautiful flavors on the inside.

Meet Michelle, Cake Designer and Owner of Iris Street Bakery in McAllen, Texas. After teaching English for a few years upon her graduation from the University of Texas Pan-American, she moved to Austin, Texas, enrolled and completed the Patisserie and Baking Program of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. While there, she worked for a local hotel in the pastry department, before setting out on her own to create bespoke wedding cakes in her home kitchen. She decided to name her company after the street she grew up on where created her first dessert surrounded by the support and love of her family. With the name Iris Street Bakery, she always wants to be reminded of where her dream to create lasting memories began
Michelle places a heavy emphasis on flavors, using seasonal and unique ingredients to bring her custom recipes to life to create an unforgettable experience for her client’s palettes. She approaches every dessert with excitement and a passion at the opportunity of being able to take a design based off of a simple sketch to something that can be enjoyed by friends and family gathered together to celebrate new beginnings.
