I can't tell you how happy I am to share some images from photographer Sea Love Photography who captured of all of the joy from Alizma and Orlando's wedding at Holiday Inn Resort - South Padre Island.
The Venue
Alizma and Orlando's wedding and reception was held at the Holiday Inn Resort at South Padre Island. Overlooking the waterss of the Gulf of Mexico, the Seaside Bar and Grill is located on the open patio of second floor of the Holiday Inn Resort at South Padre which allows for a constant breeze of the fresh air coming of the waves as there crash into the beach.
The Style
Alizma and Orlando's wedding vision was all about the beach and clean simplicity it can bring. Their colors of ivory, dusty blue, and steel blue were the perfect accents to really bring their theme to life.
By the Beach...
No beach wedding would be complete without some time in the sand. Being surrounded by the soft rays of the sun, the salty breeze, and a loving barefoot and sneakered bridal party will alway guarantee a day filled with smiles!
The Cake
For their wedding cake, Alizma and Orlando wanted to bring the summer beach mood to the exterior of their cake. The all white fondant tiers were accented with hand piped pearls in an altered paisley pattern that spanned all four tiers. Their cake was finished with a hand crafted dusty blue rice paper flowers that mirrored the clear summer sky.
The cake flavor was a delicately flavored Elderflower Cake filled with a tart and sweet Hibiscus Berry Buttercream and finished with a smooth Italian Meringue Buttercream.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much to Alizma and Orlando for being so kind, and bringing the calm beach vibes! I can't tell you how much fun I had creating your rice paper flower filled wedding cake!
