Real Wedding — Kassandra and Edward

Kassandra and Edward’s wedding at the House of the Orange Blossom in Weslaco, Texas, felt like stepping into a storybook. This historic garden estate is one of those places that makes you want to slow down and wander, and it was the perfect backdrop for a couple whose love story is part fairy tale and part fantasy quest. Kassandra and Edward wanted a day that felt like them, so they wove in their shared love of Lord of the Rings, Magic: The Gathering, and whimsical forest adventures. The result was an intimate, romantic celebration that looked like it had been pulled straight from their vision board.
Getting Ready
The morning began calm and full of anticipation, with BetterTogether Media capturing every moment. The details looked like they’d been gathered on a walk through an enchanted forest: ring holders tucked into moss, a pearl-beaded veil piece, and a handfasting cord woven in greens and creams. Kassandra wore a stunning gown from Teuta Matoshi with florals and vines climbing across the bodice, with hair and makeup by Ursula Beauty Lounge. Edward suited up in his look from Corona Formal Clothiers.
The I Do
Kassandra and Edward said “I do” under a soft canopy of hanging blooms and greenery that made the whole space feel like a clearing in an enchanted forest. Surrounded by their loved ones, the two stood side by side, ready to start their story together.
The ceremony was full of the things that make them them. They also included a handfasting ceremony, binding their hands with the same woven cord from their getting-ready details, now trailing ribbons in greens, creams, and blush, each one printed with a little message. It was a sweet, symbolic way to tie their lives together, and a perfect fit for a couple whose love story feels straight out of a fairy tale.
And of course, there was the kiss, sealed beneath the ivy-draped stone archway with the chandelier glowing overhead.

The Details
The reception felt like the clearing at the end of the path. Sage linens, gold chairs, towering branch centerpieces dripping with greenery and crystal glassware set an elegant table, while The Secret Garden brought in floral touches of white blooms, and grapevines.
And because no Lord of the Rings-inspired wedding is complete without a wizard, the guest sign featured a pup in a pointy hat and robe, inviting everyone to leave a kind message for the newlyweds as they set off on their own adventures.

The Cake
Kassandra and Edward's cake was s two-tier cake that felt like a little slice of Middle-earth. The bottom tier was covered in dark green cake crumbs, giving it the look of a mossy forest floor. The top tier was dressed in pressed ferns, so it looked like the greenery had been tucked right into the buttercream. Fresh greenery, white roses, and a hints of blush mini flowers tumbled over the tiers alongside a cluster of dark grapes. Crowning the top was a dagger engraved with Elvish script, a perfect nod to the couple’s love of Lord of the Rings.
The inside was just as thoughtful. One tier was Italian Cream Cake with Bavarian filling, and the other was Pistachio Cake with Vanilla Bean filling. Both were finished in a smooth French buttercream, so every bite felt cozy, nutty, and just a little bit indulgent.

Kassandra and Edward, your wedding day felt like a page out of your very own storybook. Whimsical, heartfelt, and so completely you. It was an honor to be part of your adventure, and I hope every time you look back on the day, it feels just as enchanting as it did in that garden. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and plenty of cake on every anniversary. 🌿🤍
